Happy Easter

Well, we made it to see the Easter Bunny and that about did me in! I knew I had to start feeling better because I certainly couldn't feel any worse! I wasn't even sure if I was going to make it to church for Easter morning. Scott assured me he would take the Girls even if I couldn't go and he helped me get their outfits ready for Sunday morning. Before bed we were sure to hang out our special key from Aunt Becky. It was a special key for the Easter Bunny so he would be able to come inside and fill the Girl's baskets with all sorts of Easter treats.


Thankfully when I got up Sunday morning I felt as good as new! The second antibiotic that the doctor prescribed seemed to be working and I was able to make it to church with Scott and the Girls. Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret did excellent during the service, however Bonnie Kay loves to jabber and for some reason church always seems to get her going so I did have to take her down to the nursery with about 20 minutes left of Preacher Dusty's sermon. Maybe Bonnie Kay was giving him an "amen" or maybe she was telling him it was time to go.....who knows!! Anyways, after church we hurried home to see just what the Easter Bunny had left for the Girls!

That afternoon we went over to Aunt Davina and Unlce Danny's. We usually dye Easter Eggs the day before Easter, but that just didn't happen this year, so we did it Easter afternoon.

Aunt Davina helped Bonnie Kay make the most perfect pink Easter Egg!












Molly Margaret was excited about coloring eggs, just a little unsure about getting her hands all messy!

Addie worked hard decorating her eggs. She made this one for Uncle Scott. It was green in honor of Dale Jr's new sponsor...come on....what's Easter without a Dale Jr. egg!!??!!

Once all of the eggs were complete we had a delicious Easter dinner, or Easter "Feast" as Addie likes to call holiday and special occasion meals.

Bonnie Kay just couldn't wait to dig in!

The Easter Bunny even left the Girls a little something at Uncle Danny and Aunt Davina's house. Thank goodness it didn't require a cage!

Hippity Hoppity Easter's On Its Way!

I was blessed with strep throat just a few days before Easter and I was sooooo sick! It was terrible! Even though I am a Mommy when I'm sick I'm a huge baby and I still want my Mommy! Well this time I had to settle for Scott and Davina! The two of them were pretty good nurses, they nursed me and took care of Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret!

After a trip to the doctor and two different antibiotics my biggest concern was getting Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret to see the Easter Bunny. Last year they were just a few weeks old so I didn't get them out, but this year I wanted to be certain that they got to see him and have their picture made.

I was still not feeling great, the second antibiotic had not yet kicked in, so thank God for Aunt Davina, she helped me get the Girls dressed and off to the mall we went flaming tonsils and everything!


Bonnie Kay loved the Easter Bunny, but as you can tell Molly Margaret wasn't too sure! We did get her to stop crying long enough for them to snap a picture...her red face says it all!

Our Lucky Charms

We hope that all of you had a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!

As I was getting the Girls dressed for the day I realized that they had nothing in their closet that was green.....almost everthing that they own is pink. It kind of reminded me of the wedding in Steel Magnolias when Julia Roberts exclaims that her wedding colors are blush and bashful! Anyway I was about to give up when I remembered that a friend of mine made the girls some adorable ribbon trimmed socks with matching hair bows and yes, one of the matching sets was done in green and white gingham...Perfect!

Also please note their hair bows...Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret have always done headbands, but this was the first time I was able to get a hair bow to stay in their hair for more than 2.8 seconds!

Don't they just look like such big girls in their hair bows and jeans!?!?!

Fun Times!

With all of the warm and beautiful weather we've been having Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret have really enjoyed all of the time that they have been able to spend outside.

Almost every afternoon Daddy takes the Girls out to swing. Santa brought the swings to the Girls and they were excited once the weather was warm enough to try them out! Here they are trying out their swings for the first time! Santa knew this was the perfect gift for Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret. They still love their infant swings that we have inside and they nap in them everyday. I don't know what I'm going to do when the girls are too big for them....I guess we'll head outside for nap time!

Santa also brought the Girls a Radio Flyer Wagon! They love going for rides together! For their First Birthday Neeno gave them the canopy for it to help keep them cool and shaded! We can't wait to try it out at the beach, but for now Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret are happy just cruising around the yard!

Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret LOVE the sandbox that Papa and Cece gave them! Papa even brought them a bag of real beach sand from the beach to mix in with the rest of the play sand that they purchased to fill the sandbox.

Molly Margaret loves to pat and give hugs with her sandy little hands! Mommy doesn't care....those hugs are the best!!





















After our sandbox excursion the girls had sand from head to toe and everywhere in between! We decided to strip them off before we took them in for a bath and since I had the camera with me I decided to take advantage of this kodak moment!! To me there is nothing sweeter than a naked baby, unless you have two naked babies!!

Anyone can be a Princess, but it takes something special to make you a Twincess!

We celebrated Twincess Bonnie Kay and Twincess Molly Margaret's First Birthday with a royal Twincess, not Princess, but Twincess party on Saturday, March 8th, the day after their actual birthday.
It was a grand event and we are so thankful for all of our friends and family that were able to share the day with us.

Twincess Molly Margaret loves her "Granny" Katie. "Granny" Katie, or Aunt Katie is my Grandmother's sister. She is in her nineties and doesn't miss a beat! "Granny" Katie lives in East Atlanta and she gave up driving long distances and on the interstate a couple of years ago so it really meant a lot to me that her daughter brought her and that she was able to come to the party.

The Royal Birthday Cake was made by the same lady that made our wedding cake. The cake was beautiful and turned out better than I ever imagined! The pictures really don't do it justice. It was truly fit for a Twincess!

Before lunchMs. Brenda, McKinley and Baby Kates Grandmother (aka Nanny) said a beautiful blessing. I asked her kind of last minute, but she didn't bat an eye and knew just the right words for Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret on their special day. She assured us that there are many angels watching over the girls at all times. She is such an angel herself and I knew she'd do a wonderful job!

Twincess Molly Margaret was a little more hands on with her cake at the party and really seemed to enjoy it!

Also, a big thanks to Aunt Becky of the Lively Ladybug for their Birthday Bibs (as well as about a zillion other things!) The Girls loved the bibs and are really glad that their party outfits were protected from all of that frosting!

Despite the frigid temps and morning snow flurries the older kids had a good time with the pinata! March weather is so unpredictable! Hopefully next year we will be able to utilize our front porch more for the party like we had planned, after all it is one of our favorite places!















Twincess Bonnie Kay and Twincess Molly Margaret were so exhausted from all of their birthday festivities that we ended up waiting to open gifts until after they had a little rest. Most everyone had gone, but they loved all of their presents very much! Out of all of their gifts the paper, ribbon, and boxes were big hits with both of the Girls...figures!





























The very tired Birthday Twincesses with their Royal Family at the end of the party! Twincess Molly Margaret is partied out, but it looks like Twincess Bonnie Kay might be catching her second....or third wind!! That's Bonnie Kay for you!
