Our Little Monkeys Turned 2!

There was a whole lot of Monkey Business going on as we celebrated Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret's second birthday!




Our Little Monkeys are always ready to party!
Aunt Jenn of the Dizzy Dragonfly did an awesome job on their outfits!!











Even though it was their second birthday we still got the girls their own cake so they could each blow out their own candles and make their own wish.....and of course we sang Happy Birthday twice, once for Bonnie Kay and then again for Molly Margaret! Twins shouldn't have to share everything!

Molly Margaret on the other hand, wanted to sit with Daddy and some of her friends.





What's a Monkey Party without bananas........??? Aunt Banana was just the perfect person to be in charge of the banana split bar!

We were very honored to have the newest member of the jungle come and celebrate with us. This was Marley Ann's first big outing and she slept right through it!

After cake, the girls changed into their jeans and we headed outside.

As we were beginning to plan for Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret's second birthday, there was just one thing that Scott and I knew we wanted them to have at their party......a giant slide! These girls LOVE to slide! When the weather is nice Scott usually takes the Girls to the park about once a week and they will spend the entire time playing on the slide! When we drive anywhere the Girls will scream and point out every slide and playground along the way......it's like an obsession with these two!

We were thinking Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret might be a little intimidated by the slide or be afraid of it, but that wasn't the case at all. Their party was on a Sunday and the company that we rented the slide from delivered it the Friday before, so we were able to let the girls have a test run before their party rolled around.

Both Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret loved the slide and thankfully on the day of their party the weather cooperated and everyone had a great time!

About, the weather......honestly, it had rained, I mean heavy pouring rain all day and night on Saturday and all day Sunday until about 10 minutes before the start of the party.......it really does help to have special people watching out for you at times like this!

Once the rain stopped, Scott was able to dry the slide with his shop vac then there was no stopping Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret!

Once the party was over Me, Scott, and Aunt Banana got to have a little fun!

Needless to say, by the end of the day our Little Monkeys were exhausted and in need of a bath! Here's one getting ready to make a splash!

Thanks to everyone that went bananas with us and helped make our Little Monkeys second birthday so special! We truly do have a wonderful "bunch" of friends and family! We love you all!

Happy Second Birthday!

I can't even believe it, but on March 7th Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret celebrated their second birthday!

Good morning birthday girls! Here are my big 2 year olds on the morning of their birthday! Up and ready to party!!



We decided to spend the day together as a family and save their big birthday bash for the following weekend.

Scott, the Girls and I spent the day at the zoo!
The zoo was wonderful! The weather was great and Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret loved seeing all of the animals!




We even got the chance to visit with some of our extended family!!

Of course we had to take time out for a quick snack!

Once we left the zoo we headed home for naps, then had pizza, presents and cake with the rest of the family.
The Girls were very excited to have their big cousins join them for dinner.....

And just what's a birthday without cake......

First we sang to Bonnie Kay, she is older by a minute you know!

Then it was Miss Molly Margaret's turn to blow out her candles and make a wish!

Everything tastes better when you share it with people you love!

Finally it was time for the Girls to open their birthday gifts!

What a day.......

Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret were pretty tuckered out by nightfall and were very glad to sit back relax in their new chairs!

You will never know the joy and excitement that these two little people have brought into our lives. Each and everyday is a journey with these two and I feel so honored and privileged that God chose us as their parents! There isn't a day that goes by that I don't thank him for such a wonderful gift!

Let It Snow........

Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret were very excited to play in the snow! As soon as they saw it falling they demanded I get their rubber rain boots and insisted upon wearing them with their pajamas (they LOVE their rubber boots, so this is not an unusual request at our house, they wear them with PJ's, dresses, naked....it really doesn't matter) until I could get the rest of their winter weather gear together!
