Just a quick note.......

The girls are sleeping so I thought I'd take a few minutes to share a few more thoughts and photos with you. We had a great experience at the hospital from the moment we walked in. Dr. Cook, my doctor happened to be on call that night which was a huge relief for me. He is a wondeful doctor and it brought me great comfort when he walked in my room that night and told us it was show time! All of the other hospital staff was wonderful throughout our entire stay as well, however, there is no place like home! We thought I was going to have to stay at the hospital until Sunday, but the girls and I were doing so great they let us come home on Saturday! We had a wonderful homecoming celebration. Scott and I both teared up as we pulled in the driveway and saw our porch full of family anxiously awaiting our arrival. The house was decked with bows, balloons, banners...it was wonderful! We had a delicious homecoming meal which was a mighty tasty treat after a couple of days of hospital food. Of course the girls had to have a special outfit for their homecoming. This would of been no big deal if there was only one baby involved, but since we had twins this posed a bit of a problem. My Mom had saved the dress that Davina and I wore home from the hospital and it was passed down when Addie was born. I knew that my children would one day wear the dress as well and when I found out I was having twins I knew something had to be done so that we could have two outfits that matched! Through one of Scott's customers he found a lady that was able to duplicate the dress and slip perfectly! So Miss Bonnie Kay wore the old dress with the new slip and Miss Molly Margaret wore the new dress with the old slip, this way both girls had a bit of the old and a touch of the new! They looked beautiful and it meant so much that the tradidtion was able to be passed down to my girls. Enjoy the pictures, they are a few of our favorites of the hospital and homecoming. A big big thanks to everyone that helped prepare for our arrival and to all of the visitors that we had both in the hospital as well as at home. It's nice to have such wonderful friends and family.

Finally....an update!

We know it's been a long...long...long time since we updated our blog, but life has been a little hectic for us lately! We are all doing great and are happy to say that the twins arrived safe and sound on March 7, 2007. They caught us a little off guard and decided to come a week earlier than their planned due date, so after cleaning up the house a little, taking a bath, painting my toe nails, packing some last minute items, touching up my hair and makeup....etc...etc....etc...I decided I better get on to the hospital! We arrived at the hospital around 7:30 PM and by 9:30 PM both of the girls had arrived, via c-section of course! That night was such an emotional and exciting time for all of us, I can't even begin to describe it! Hearing them cry for the first time and seeing their little faces is something that we'll never forget! We hope you enjoy Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret as much as we do!!
