Kid Swap
This summer Anna came down to stay with Papa and Cece for a week and attend drama camp.... as if she wasn't dramatic enough!!!
Jill, on the other hand attended "Camp Kanner"! She spent the week here with us and we really got to spend some quality time together. We were so excited to be able to spend the week with Jill. Usually Jill and Anna come as a "package deal" so we have never really gotten to have one on one time with her.
We had lots of fun throughout the week....cooking, dance parties, girls night out, 4-wheeler rides, ice cream making....you name it! Below are a few pictures of our time together.
Jill and I made sugar cookies from scratch! Jill is very good in the kitchen, but this turned into a two day ordeal as we were working around Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret's naps! On the first day we made the cookie dough, chilled it and made homemade icing in all of our favorite colors.

Here's Jill admiring her yummy yummy work!!
Both Anna and Addie love riding the 4-wheeler, but Jill has always been a little afraid of it. Uncle Scott couldn't believe it when I talked her into riding it with me....well actually I kind of tricked her into it, but she loved it and went for several rides during the week!
Jill was so excited when she got to go with me to meet some of my girl friends for a girls night out. According to Jill she had a Bud Chelada......really it was a cheese enchilada....I promise!
Here we are, ready to hit the town!
One night we did manage to sneak Anna away from Papa and Cece's house and went out for pizza, putt putt and ice cream.
Anna and Jill both did great at putt putt, their Daddy would of been proud!
Here are the girls with a long lost relative!
Jill was very patient on each and every hole. It may take her 15-20 putts to make it, but she didn't care, she was having a good time!
Anna, on the other hand was a little more competitive. She and Uncle Scott did a little name calling and club throwing before the night was over!
I think Jill had a great time with us, we certainly had a great time with her!
Anna also had a fun time at drama camp. Here she is one afternoon wearing some very dramatic makeup! Hopefully this is not an indication of how she will actually apply her make up one day! With all that blue eye shadow she's ready for the Waffle House!
At the end of the camp we all attended a play that the kids spent the week working on. I don't have any photos, but the production was great! Anna was a pig.....a very cute pink pig!
After Anna's week of drama camp and Jill's week of "Camp Kanner" nothing would do but for Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret to go spend some time with their cousins at their house. Scott and I were a little apprehensive and only planned on them being gone for 2-3 days, as that's the longest that we have ever been away from them.
Aunt Shawn ended up kidnapping them for 5 whole nights!
Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret had a great time with their cousins, Aunt Shawn, and Uncle Jon! Aunt Shawn was very brave to take on all four girls for that length of time! They went lots of places and did lots of fun things while they were away!
Here they are all loaded up in the mini van about to head out. What's missing from this photo is Shawn and Jon's two very large dogs that were also along for the ride.....talk about family circus!!
Once they got to Aunt Shawn and Uncle Jon's house the Girls must have been pretty tuckered out. I'm not too sure what their sleeping arrangements were, but they seemed to find great comfort in Cookie's dog bed! She is such a sweet old girl...I'm glad she shared it with them!
Not to worry, Aunt Shawn did have a pak-n-play for the Girls. Here they are all snuggled up for a bed time story!
One day Aunt Shawn took the Girls to visit Uncle Jon at his office.....if they only had a few more teeth!!
The Jackson's look pretty good as a family of 6, don't ya think??!!??
Thank you Aunt Shawn and Uncle Jon for giving Scott and I a much needed break! We were able to rest and get a few projects done around the house! We love you and wish that you lived closer so we could play kid swap more often!!
