These Feet Were Made For Walking.......

and now that's ALL they do!!

Scott and I were beginning to wonder if Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret were ever going to walk. I mean, why should they after being carried around on a satin pillow for the first year of their life!!??!!

On June 23, 2008 Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret finally showed us that they can move on two feet, make that four feet!!! That's right, both of the Girls took off walking on the same night, within minutes of each other! I guess it's true, Twins really do everything together.

Molly Margaret had actually been practicing for several weeks prior to this. We could stand her up and she would take about 15-20 steps then fall on her tushie, but as far as actually getting up on her own and taking off she, nor Bonnie Kay had really showed any interest.

Well, it was one night after dinner and we were in the living room playing when all of the sudden Bonnie Kay stood up on her own. We were so excited and went for the camera thinking that standing up all by herself was her big trick for the evening. Bonnie Kay had more in store for us as she took off across the living room!

We were so excited and shocked all at the same time clapping and cheering at her big accomplishments!

The look on Molly Margaret's face was priceless......it was obvious that she was not going to be outdone by her sister!

Molly Margaret then stands up all by herself and takes off to join Bonnie Kay!

What a night, we were so proud for our Girls! Of course, Scott and I both got a little misty eyed after this big moment. After all, it's just another reminder that they are growing up. We can't tell you how proud we are of them and how proud they were of themselves! The feeling we felt seeing them walk was indescribable....it's still odd sometimes when I look over my shoulder and see them following me around the house. Scott calls them my little ducklings, or Mommy and her shadows!
