Turkey Day 2008

Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret were very excited about Thanksgiving and loved visiting with "Tom Turkey" on our porch!

Bonnie Kay also loved the little pumpkins and thought they were just the right size for her!

However, Molly Margaret thought the great big pumpkin made a funny little seat!

The Girls cracked me up sitting in their little rockers, just like two little old ladies.....

Wonder what Molly Margaret was laughing at......probably me!!!

Giving Tom a little love before heading inside!

Kiss Kiss.....

This year we began our official Thanksgiving festivities a couple of days before by attending Addie's Thanksgiving program and feast at her school.

On actual Turkey Day, after watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade we headed to Papa and Cece's house and had a delicious turkey lunch with all the trimmings!

Both Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret loved the turkey, dressing and sweet potatoes. However, black olives on their fingers are always a favorite!

Molly Margaret insists upon putting them on her two pointer fingers and doing a little dance!

After lunch all of the girls burned off some calories by playing in the leaves out in the backyard!
Bonnie Kay decided to dive right in......

Molly Margaret was a little more reserved...

but she soon got the hang of it!

Anna was all smiles frolicking in the Fall leaves!!

Jill Grace was all about Fall family fun!!

"There's no place like home", or Papa and Cece's house for Thanksgiving!

Jill's red party shoes were just too cute sticking out of the leaves!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get a good picture of the four of these girls.......

It's nearly impossible.....they all have minds of their own...that tend to lead them in opposite directions!

We said good bye at Papa and Cece's and headed home to prepare for another delicious Thanksgiving feast!

The Girls got in a much needed nap then it was time for round two.....
Dinner with Aunt Davina, Uncle Danny and Addie!

Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret always love spending time with these two Turkeys!

Once it was time to eat Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret insisted on these huge turkey legs!

Bonnie Kay feasting away!!

Yummy Yummy!

Miss Molly Margaret smackin' her lips.....

and getting down to business!!

Addie was content sharing a turkey leg with Molly Margaret, but we promised Addie that next year we'd special order a turkey with 3 legs!!

All of that good food and family fun was certainly a reminder that we truly do have so much to be thankful for.
Even though some days are tough and some family members are no longer with us Thanksgiving truly is a time to show our thanks and gratitude for the many blessings that we do have in our lives.
We hope that each and everyone of you had a happy Thanksgiving!
