Pumpkin Carving

When I was little I always looked forward to carving our pumpkin! We always did this at night after dinner and although Mom was on hand it was always a "Daddy thing" that he did with Davina & I and Mom usually got stuck cleaning up the mess! We would carve our pumpkin, pick out the seeds to roast and once they were in the oven we'd go outside, light our jack-o-lantern, watch him glow and admire our work!

I still love pumpkin carving time and I am so glad that Scott, Bonnie Kay and Molly Margaret all share my excitement!

Once they got used to it the Girls loved playing in the pumpkin gook and helping Mommy pick out the seeds while Daddy did the finishing touches....

Once we were done and all cleaned up we took our jack-o-lantern out to the porch.

I think that these pumpkin carvers did a spooktacular job!!
