1 Year....
A year ago today Mom was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Cancer, the diagnosis that a family never wants to hear.
The doctors told us that the type of Lung Cancer she had was a fast acting, very ugly Cancer and the stage was very advanced. From reading about it and from what the doctors told us, most patients never make it a year, but Mom is a fighter and here we are a year later still fighting.
Mom has had a total of 11 rounds of Chemo, and will begin her 12th one next week and we can't tell you the number of Scans, MRI's, etc. that she's under gone and not to mention a couple of scares and trips to the hospital!
It's been a very emotional year and we thank God for each day that he has given us and for the knowledge that he has given to each of Mom's doctors to be able to treat her. We thank him for giving Mom the strength to fight this battle and for the wonderful friends and family that we have.
We thank each of you for your prayers, love, support and friendship. Everything that each of you do mean so much and how blessed we are to have you in our lives.
Thank you for being there for us this past year.
It's hard to believe that it's been a year, just goes to show how quickly time passes and just how precious each and every day truly is.
